What Does Mary Plan to Focus on?

After 24 years of “dedicated” service, I have come to realize that the elected official behind the title Tarrant County Clerk has done absolutely nothing to better the County Clerk’s office and the people that the office serves. Why would anyone want a repeat of that same type of “dedication”? An endorsement from Suzanne Henderson means a repeat of the past 24 years. I, for one, am not willing to accept the fact that someone has been in office for 24 years and the only product out of this type of “dedication” is a recycling program that was initiated 7 years ago. The rest of the time was spent doing absolutely nothing. The current county clerk has failed to communicate with the community because customers have continued to leave unsatisfied and full of complaints.

I, Mary DeSantiago, want to be the person who makes the change. I want the residents of Tarrant County to come into any Tarrant County office and receive the information they so desire. I plan to focus on the needs of the customers and the incentives for employees to want to actively participate in helping serve customers. I want the employees in the Tarrant County Clerk’s Office to feel comfortable and proud that he or she works for an organization that cares about the community. I am determined to turn this train around and get on the right track by helping to make these ideas become a reality. My ideas and goals will become reality because I am determined to make the Tarrant County Clerk’s Office a place where Tarrant County residents feel confident in knowing that this office cares about the needs of the community.

Mary’s Plan of Action

I will focus on communicating with the community more frequently by holding local town/city meetings to provide residents of Tarrant County with useful information like:

• Where to file documents, certificates, deeds, contracts etc.
• What documents can be filed through the County Clerk's office
• Resources available through the County Clerk’s Office

Filing online or at local offices rather than having to come Downtown:

• Abstracts of Judgement
• Writ of execution, writ of garnishment, writ of attachment
• Providing the capability to send an online request to have it executed by appropriate office.
• To eliminate the guessing game when it comes to filing your important documents
• By providing the right information to the residents of Tarrant County online and making it more user friendly
